So my bf children comes over sometimes and I watch them while he’s working. One day I told his son (4yrs old) to put a toy down, in turn he throws the toy at me and folded his arms. I put him in time out for a little and Let bf know when he got home.

When I told my bf he wasn’t happy that I put him in timeout. He told me “I hope you aren’t treating him differently when I’m not around” he also started speaking on how I discipline my son who’s 9. He went as far as to say “just like you putting him in timeout make sure you do that with man”. He also said that when his other son comes if I’m doing any weird stuff his son would tell him.

Should I be offended? I can’t help but be bothered because I feel like he doesn’t trust me after almost 2 years.

The other day when he came in from work he asked what was wrong with his son because he was quiet (he was really into his movie). I said nothing he’s chilling. About 10 mins later he ask again like has he been crying, what happened ? And i was so confused like what no he’s fine. I caught offense because of the first issue I wrote about.
