Hi 21 year old girl here. I’ve never orgasmed with my boyfriends (I’m using plural bc this goes for past relationships as well) unless I have a vibrator. I don’t feel much from them touching me or trying to eat me out and I’d love to help and give them some tips but I can’t even do it myself. I’ve never been able to get myself to orgasm without a vibrator and I’ve tried a lot. I just get frustrated and stop after a while. Is this normal? My friends don’t have this problem and I’m concerned as to why I do

Lets start with masturbation as that is where you learn about your body and how it works:
When you masturbate in just one way all the time, you develop a very specific arousal pattern. Your body becomes trained to respond to a particular touch, and when you’re only relying on one method to orgasm (running water, humping, vibrator, on your stomach, etc), you aren’t giving your body much to work with in terms of learning how to reach climax with other types of stimulation. This is particularly true for women that masturbate by humping or only uses a vibrator.
Think of it like a river running through a landscape. Over millions of years it carves out a path. The river will just keep on flowing down that path, every minute of every day, carving it deeper and deeper. It will take a real big storm for the river to change its path. The same thing happens when you lie on your stomach and hump your bedding, pillow, toy, or hand, or just use a vibrator. Every time you do it, it just gets more ingrained  in your body. It will take some real patience and determination to change that.
This is usually not a problem while you masturbate. Vibrator, humping and grinding orgasms are great and can produce incredibly good orgasms.
Once you start to have sex with a partner, this just does not work any more as you cannot follow the same arousal pattern that you came to rely on for solo pleasure.
You need to teach your body how to respond to new stimuli, so experimentation is a must. When you’re by yourself, there’s less distraction, and you’ll have all the time in the world to figure out what sensations you like. Use your fingers and hands, add a little lube, change up your speed, intensity, and rhythm, use a finger tip, or the palm of your hand, squeeze, press, tap, stroke, rub; change your position; explore all parts in and around your vulva and vagina. When you find a spot that is pleasurable, try to explore that further and increase the pleasure.
Remember that your clitoris is your main pleasure organ, not your vagina. You need to figure out how to stimulate your clitoris.  Most women find their clitoris extremely sensitive when thet touch it, until they are fully aroused. So starting soft and gentle with lubrication is likely the way to start. Lubrication can take many forms - saliva, a store bought personal lubricant (from your local supermarker/pharmacy or online), Arousal fluid and mucus from your vagiine.
Most importantly, remember that this is something that is going to take time and patience. It’s like learning how to play a sport: you aren’t going to wake up as a world champion after just one practice. Don’t get frustrated, just try again another time. If at first you don’t succeed in finding different ways to orgasm, try, and try again. You have all the time you need to explore and learn the many beautiful ways in which you can experience pleasure.
Now back to sex with your partner:
Most women do not orgasm from just intercourse. We orgasm mainly from stimulation to our clitoris. Unfortunately our clitoris does not get a lot of stimulation during intercourse. So we have to learn to change the way we interact and move with our partners so that we do give the clitoris what it wants.
This can mean that you change the way you have sex from the in/out motion to one where you tilt your pelvis so that your clitoris makes contact with his body and then squeeze, grind and rub against him in small movements.
The other way is to stimulate your clitoris with a finger, hand, or vibrator during intercourse. Some positions works better for this, and sometimes you can do it, sometimes your partner can do it.
So taking your vibrator with you to bed is not a bad idea. Use it on your clitoris while he is sexing you. You can even show him what you like and how to do it.
