So my sweet girl started vomiting on Wednesday and I took her to the pediatricians office where the nurse practitioner prescribed her some dissolvable Zofran tablets. Every time I would give her one she’d take it out of her own mouth and say “no” so I wasn’t sure how much she was getting and the vomiting continued through Thursday. Thursday night the advice nurse suggested we take her to the ER to make sure she wasn’t dehydrating. The ER dissolved the Zofran in water, gave it to her by syringe and then waited an hour to see if she kept fluids down which she did so they sent us home. Late Thursday night she vomited again. Friday she was very tired/lethargic and slept most of the day so I called the pediatrician and he wanted to see her. He thought since the diarrhea had started the vomiting was likely over and she was headed in the right direction but Saturday she started vomiting again at 3pm and again at 11pm. I feel terrible, it has been so many days of her getting sick and not eating. She is still nursing at least. Has anyone experienced this with their little one?
