Solid foods for 8 month olds?

I wanna start solid foods so when my baby’s a year old she’ll be used to normal foods instead of purées is there any solid foods you can give to an 8 month old that isn’t puréed ? Fruits/veggies/soups things like that that u can cut into tiny pieces ?

Look into baby led weaning. On Instagram, search feeding Littles and solid starts. Both provide wonderful info on this topic. We started around 6 months old and my baby ate everything we ate. His first meal ever was eggs and toast.

Yes, solid foods are safe to give them. Either dice the food up into tiny pieces, or cut them in large sticks (about the size of your finger). Since baby's pincers grasp isn't quite developed, you might find that they do better with the large finger-size foods assuming you want baby to feed themselves
