What you think?

So my bf used to be a mechanic and the clutch in my car went out and at first he offered to work on it but then he asked me 4 separate times if I still wanted him to work on it and the last time I just told him I'd have my sister do it (shes not a mechanic but she's good on vehicles and has done her own clutch on her truck) bc honestly I was tired of him asking bc he acted like he didn't want to after he offered to since I can't afford to take it to a shop and have it done but then today he's out working on someone else's vehicle.. The other day he was saying I was his family and I told him I wasn't bc he is always right there when they call him about their vehicles but couldn't help fix mine.. I even told him I'd pay $100 for him to do it. Guess I'll be paying my sister for her help instead. Am I being selfish even though he offered his help? (and just an FYI I wasn't going to ask him to do it I was going to ask my sister).. Just so everyone knows I already bought the part and he knew it. I would never ask him to buy the parts for my vehicle as that is not his responsibility to do so. I just was annoyed he offered to do it and then asked if I wanted him to 🤷‍♀️. If you don't really want to do it just don't ask.. It's stupid.
