Condoms

I used condoms regularly for 2 years and did have issues with utis. Been hooking up with this new guy and every time we use a condom I get extremely dry after awhile and it’s painful and simply doesn’t work. If we take it off it goes right back to normal. Do yall think I have a latex allergy maybe? Somethings not working with them. It doesn’t quite make sense since I used them for so long before, but I will say that sex never lasted long, so maybe not enough time for irritation?
