Waiting for MMC

I had a dating scan booked for December 23rd, I should have been 8+3 but unfortunately we didn’t have a good outcome. We could see the gestational sac which measure only just slightly behind, the yolk sac and what we think was the feral pole but nothing more.

The sonographer was so lovely, she spoke so kindly and kept me well informed, we then tried a transvaginal ultrasound but still couldn’t see anything else. She then spoke to the dr who was also lovely an explained more to me about a missed miscarriage, but with my gestational sac measurements been so close to what they should be, she couldn’t diagnose it as a MMC. She has asked me to return in a week.

I know in my heart no baby has formed. I have spent the whole of Christmas waiting for my miscarriage to start. I really feel stuck in a grey zone.
