My two children are sick right now with fevers. I'm the SAHM parent or the one whose home during the day so my kids always have me taking care of them when they are sick. My oldest is three and he keeps waking up and calling for his daddy. I know its not personal just hurts a bit.

My husband is a great dad he came home after working all day read them a book and played imaginary game of going on a bear hunt and cowboys and just jumped into their world.

I am the one who's doing the medicine, bath, making homemade soup, laundry. And snuggling the youngest through his fever. I'm just so used to being the go to parent it hurts that I wasn't first pick. He got me anyways to come cover him the way he likes and his favorite stuffed animal. Just stings a little bit.
