Hi all

So I’ve had two pregnancy both got vvfl 6 days before period and was very strong by week 5 - my second pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 11 weeks

I am pregnant again 5 weeks didn’t get a very faint line until 13dpo which was later the other two and now my line is getting lighter I’m driving myself mad convinced that this is a miscarriage has anyone had this or not for dark positives at 5 weeks?

Very likely the hook effect. Numbers get so high after 5 weeks that pregnancy tests aren’t accurate for tracking anymore!

Update if anyone is looking at this in the future unfortunately this has ended in a miscarriage at 5 weeks x

So sorry to hear this. I’ve just been though exactly the same thing. Roughly the same dates too 😢 and my pregnancy tests did the same x

You could request blood work to check your levels!

Google the hook effect and I’d also call your Ob to be on the safe side. Hopefully it’s nothing💜

Thank you definitely not the hook effect never got the dye stealer - I’m in the uk so we don’t get seen until 8-12 weeks driving me mad just want a sticky bean x
