I’m debating whether or not to go into L&D. I’m 28 weeks, but I’m high risk, I have low fluid and a congested artery in the umbilical cord. Well, yesterday I was getting some period type cramping and extreme back pain. The cramping stopped but the back pain is just not going away. Like Tylenol, warm bath, heating pad, nothing is working. I had back labor with my first so I’m terrified this could be pre-term labor. I’m not feeling any contractions at all, just extremely severe back pain, like I can’t even sleep the pain is so bad. I left a message for my OB yesterday but never heard back. I just don’t want to waste a trip to the hospital but I also don’t want to be dumb if it is serious.
