Bloody show

So over the weekend I was in the hospital due to a lot of problems and they checked my cervix I was only a finger tip dilated the night of the 7th I got released the night of the 8th went home and had a follow up appointment with my OB the morning of the 9th and had my cervix checked again and I was 3cm dilated 50% effaced. Well this morning I woke and had had bloody mucus. Is this normal or is it my bloody show and labor is near ? I called my OB office and they said if it gets heavy to the point it’s in the toilet and constant blood then go to labor and delivery but I just never had this with any of my other pregnancies.
