Having 2nd thoughts
My husband and I decided we were going to start trying for our 2nd baby together after our daughter turned 1. Just a little back story, I was in a bad car accident 2 days after Christmas that left me not being able to walk and still have not been able to walk. The same day of my accident my boss sent out an email stating that we would be going back to rotating shifts at the end of February. So my shift will change every 4 weeks. With that being said it makes it really hard to find childcare since 2 of the shifts are swing shift with me getting off at midnight or 2 am. I highly doubt a nanny or our current nanny would be willing to have a different shift every 4 weeks. So I have been utilizing my time stuck in bed to update my resume, cover letter and create a LinkedIn to start applying for jobs that will have a set schedule. We started having unprotected sex last month during what the app said was my fertile window. I am still breastfeeding so my periods are irregular and my fertile window was a week off since my period was a week late. This next cycle I tracked ovulation and we had sex at -3 and -2 days before ovulation. The test for -3 was low but the -2 day was high. Yesterday I received a phone call from HR for a company I applied to and they were basically giving me the job before I have come to the lab to do a walking tour to make sure it will work out and I see myself as a good fit for the job. I told them I will let them know next week about scheduling the tour since I currently can’t walk but am getting close. After that phone call yesterday and doing some more research on the company, accepting the position based on the salary offered is something I do want. Now because of this great job opportunity, I want to wait to start trying for baby #2 but am not sure how to tell my husband. I may already be pregnant and am now hoping that I’m not. Any thoughts on how I should approach this ladies? Any feedback is appreciated. Other then my husband I don’t have anyone else to talk to because we haven’t told anyone that we were going to start trying for #2. Thank you for any advice or feedback on my situation.
