What are the pros and cons of dating someone double your age?

Con they are in a completely different stage of life and they SHOULDN'T have anything in common mentally, emotionally or on the same maturity level with someone that much younger than them who could be their child. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can't really find any pros in dating someone twice your age. That's a very big age difference. I would assume the person is at a completely different stage in life or unable to act the age.

My husband and I have a 20+ year age difference. Both of us are over 30.  I think once both people have life experience and are adults, what people say about having nothing in common or being at different stages in life is irrelevant. Plus men don’t really start making that good good money until after 35 or 40 years old, and I think a 20 something year old woman is a good match for these men. They’ve (the men) likely have money saved and can support a wife and children whereas if they get with a guy in his 20s like them, they’re going to struggle more.

Depending on the age. Me being 44 I would not be dating an 88 year old. Although I have dated someone that was 59. I had known him over 20 years prior to us getting together. But had he approached me back then, we would have had nothing in common. His kids were young, I was just starting out in life. I couldn’t drink. I would have just looked at him like the creepy young guy. I would have said did you need a baby sitter?  Would have made zero sense to be together. Now that we are both older both business and homeowners, his kids are out of the house it’s a different story. It’s not some creepy guy looking to have fun, use , take advantage etc. do you know how awkward it would have been, I’m sorry my girl can’t go, she’s not old enough. And in this day and age there’s more married men than single men on dating apps. And even if I was 18 or 20 nope. I guess I was more choosy. I would have said why? no one your age takes you seriously. Or what are you 40 and living in your mothers basement and plays video games all day. I’ve done the broken bird that was looking for someone to take care of them and fix them Nope, never again.
