can anyone give me information on how deer cameras work?

can you use them with wifi? or do u pay extra with your carrier? i have a big yard and a few trees and i was thinking of putting a deer camera there..thanks

Could you just use typical security cameras that are linked to an app? If so, I would recommend Eufy. There’s no subscription and connects to your phone. Some use Wi-Fi, some can be hardwired. We like ours.

My husband has some with an SD card that he has to walk out to his blind to get and bring back to put in a computer to view the photos. He also has a few that go off the cell tower of our phone carrier (AT&T) and they’ll send the images directly to his phone. He got some little solar panels to help with battery life because they eat batteries like crazy otherwise.

typically the old school ones are battery or even solar powered and you put a SD card in them and go out and change the SD every few days so you can bring it to your computer and view the photos.. i think now they make cellular ones you can check from your phone which is awesome! those are also still battery or solar powered!! does that help?
