Induction due to high bp

Ok so ill start with this 4 years ago i gave birth via induction because my bp was extremely high. I had meds but wasnt taking them consistently. It ended with my having to have a csection which was extremely painful and I dont want to do again.

Fast forward to now, im 33 weeks pregnant blood pressure is under control and has been steady my whole pregnancy. However my doc has set an induction date at 37 weeks because and i quote " we dont let mamas who have chronic high bp go over 37 maybe 38 weeks". Like i said yall my bp is under control with meds and i have had no issue with it my whole pregnancy. I did not have preeclampsia with my first or this pregnancy.

Im wondering if any of you have heard of such a thing or experienced this?
