When a doctor decides when to deliver the baby

Should you allow the doctor to decide when they want to deliver the baby ? 
Or wait for the baby to come on it’s own?

I think it depends like if you’re past your due date or if you have medical problems etc. your doctor will make the decision on induction if it’s needed

Unless there is a medical necessity absolutely not. If there is no medical reason to induce you and a doctor is trying to schedule a delivery date it's just for their convenience and the best doctors know to allow a baby to come on its own is what's best for mom and baby. I would never let a doctor try to talk me into an induction for no reason.

If there’s real medical issues then it would be the doctor. But YES the baby should always when birth day is.

Biologically speaking the baby is who decides when to be born. There’s a huge hormonal process involved, and babies send a message to the placenta to trigger labor when they’re ready. 
Providing there was no medical necessity to the issue, I would never allow someone to interfere with my children’s births. It’s always healthiest for things to go how they’re designed to - excluding situations that actually need medical I intervention of course.

Ask the doctor why the baby should be delivered at a specific time and then see if you agree. Also, are you ok taking responsibility for what happens if you don’t follow the doctor’s advice? For example if your baby is stillborn after you refuse an induction? Think about it and discuss with your partner, family and doctor, weigh pros and cons. Usually there is a medical reason for an earlier delivery. Good luck!
