Anyone ever get a false positive pregnancy test?

Hello
I only took 2 pregnancy tests last week and I got a faint line on both tests. The second time it was a bit darker than the other one. Anyways I've missed my period for 2 weeks now. My breasts are tender and I'm bloated. I was wondering if it's true to get a false positive did it ever happen to anyone? I haven't had any morning sickness or n any of that. The glow app says I'm 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Just wondering if anyone out there had a false positive. Thanks.

Actually, you can get false positives but it rarely rarely ever happens. Congrats though!

A lot of false positives are caused by chemical pregnancies.

You can't get a false positive. I would call your Doctor and get a blood test.

My doc told me that usually if test says positive your pregnant usually it's not wrong only can really get false negitaves

You def. sound pregnant!  I have been TTC or pregnant for the majority of my 12 years of marriagr and I have had a false positive once, on FRER- a light pink line when all other tests were negative (and I have had plenty of miscarriages and it was not one).  Turns out I wasn't the only one at that time.  Now the new FRER gives terrible colorless lines.  But you are not having issues like that, I think it is totally safe to say CONGRATS!!!!

False positives are not really a thing. The closest thing is an evaporation line which would mean you used the test wrong. The other occurrence is when a woman has a chemical pregnancy - but that is still a real pregnancy just not a viable one.

Sounds like you're pregnant. It's rare to get a false positive. You're more likely to get a false negative. Congrats!
