Babyshowers for 3rd child?

What are thoughts on baby showers for babes after your first? I have a 13 year old, 3 year old and due in Aug. With the age gap between my 13 and 3 year old we had a shower. It’s been 3 years since having my daughter and I passed down all of her things to my sister who had a girl a year later. She then passed down items to others. We are now starting to get needing items but having to start completely over. Buying things we can from friends and fb marketplace ourselves. I’m not sure if we should have a shower since it’s not our first babe. Not sure the etiquette, what are thoughts and opinions?

I've heard of people having sprinkles. I think it's a personal choice however, my SIL had a baby shower for her fourth baby and everyone in our family was upset because it's her fourth child. We are having our third in May and we have had to start over as well simply because we thought we were done and sold a lot of our stuff. We are just planning on buying things here and there, no sprinkle or baby shower for us.

I had a baby shower for my first child, little girl, gave a lot away to my husbands sister who had a little girl, I didn’t get the chance to have a baby shower with my second daughter (mine are 3 yrs apart) but I’m pregnant with my third child (unknown sex until birth) and I will be having a diaper party for this baby. 
You do what you want to do. If you want to have a baby shower go for it, if people show up and gift something great, if not then least you tried is how I see it.
