Were you given pain relief other than Tylenol after giving birth?

I gave birth in August and my doctor refused to give me anything other than Tylenol after I had just given birth. With my first pregnancy back in 2017 I was given oxycodone. Tylenol didn't help with pain at all and I was having contractions after giving birth. It was so bad I had to put my baby down while the contractions were happening. I'm trying to decide if I should go back to this doctor for my next pregnancy. Did your doctor give you anything stronger than Tylenol after giving birth?
