what do i do?

i’m 16 and have been with my boyfriend for a couple years but the last 2 months we’ve barely been talking or have seen each other and he hasn’t been making an effort for me at all. the last couple weeks my guy friend who is in his 20’s has been flirting with me non stop and i’m ashamed to say i haven’t shut it down until now. i was enjoying the attention from an older guy, i guess i felt validated from it. it’s been making me really sad and i feel like i betrayed my boyfriend. i never cheated and i didn’t exactly flirt back but i didn’t shut it down either. tonight after he was flirting i told him i had a boyfriend and that he needs to stop. do i tell my boyfriend that i let this go on? i love him and he’s my first love but this is making me think i need to date around some more and figure out what i want.. what do i do?
