I NEED OPINIONS

ok so Im 33 weeks, and I’ve had my Great Dane since she was 8 weeks old she is now 3 years old, she has gone through everything with me so obviously I don’t want to get rid of her she is my comfort dog and my first baby. However she does shed a lot and my mom is concerned that it will get my baby sick. Is it safe to have my dog around my newborn? What should I do? I don’t want to get rid of her..
