1 y/o hits his head a lot

So I know it’s totally normal that babies/kids fall and hit their head etc all the time. I have 2 kids. The first one fell a lot and she’s fine. My newly 12 month old son hits his head multiple times a day. We have LVP flooring and carpet. He just fell off the couch. I’m always right next to him it just happens so fast 😣 he gets bumps and bruises and I’m honestly worried he’s going to have some damage from all of the falling. I just ordered him one of those soft helmets for around the house. Is this normal?? 😭😭

Also, I feel like his feet are super small for his age which causes him to be off balance which is partially why he falls a lot 🥴
