IVF thoughts?

Hello beautiful women, I’m newly 43 and still ttc with first baby. I’ve had 4 miscarriages since the age of 36. I have already consulted with a fertility doc and all testing looked good, I’m just 43. I NEVER though I’d consider it, but now I’m strongly considering IVF. Their cutoff age for letting patients use their own eggs is 44 so my time is ticking quickly. If you have experience with IVF and are comfortable sharing, I’d love to hear it! 💫

After losing my first when I was 38, tests indicated that my AMH was on the low side for my age. I went straight for IVF as we’d been trying for 3 years by that point. First fresh transfer failed but frozen transfer gave us my now 4 year old. It sounds like you’re in a great position, I’d say go for it. It’s emotionally and financially draining but the whole process was not as bad as I’d imagined x

Hi, I’m 42, will be 43 in a couple months and just completed my first round of IVF earlier this month. Like you, I also have a higher AMH for my age. I was able to retrieve a good amount of eggs that turned into blastocysts m, however, after pgta all came back as aneuploid. Very sad news but it wasn’t a total shock as my doctor had warned me that the rate of chromosomal abnormalities increase significantly after age 40. I’m getting ready to start another cycle soon. The sooner., the better. I had my daughter natural at 44 and two miscarriages at 46. Don't take for granted that is going to happen natural. Get help.

Hello, I have done two rounds of IVF with our own eggs and sperm, the first round was a fresh round and it was successful, I was 38 at the time and he’s now 2 years old. I then did a frozen transfer last year at 40 and it ended in a chemical.
If your AMH level is normal then go for it.

Forgot to mention that at 48, I tried 8 rounds of IVF with 4 transfers of 2,1, 2, 1 embryos each, and the embryos didn't implanted. Good luck!
