Opk -no positives?

Question

This is our first month trying, but my cycle is different every month so I started opk test this month. I started early in my cycle and have not had a positive yet. What's the deal? Anyone else have this issue? I'm past my "fertile period" that this site says, using a fairly long cycle since I range from 28-36 days on any given month.

I order my opks on amazon and the reviews for the advanced digital clear blue easy had a lot of people who had similar experience to you. You have to be really good about using it at the correct time and on the right days. I think the regular clear blue ones are probably easiest.

I have been using the clear blue advanced digital opk for 2 months. Month one I got my positive LH surge on Cd17, this month I tested from CD10-23 and never got a positive LH. I got the flashing smiley which indicates a rise in estrogen, which usually comes shortly before the LH surge but never got the solid smiley. I finally stopped testing on CD23 because I felt like I was just wasting tests. I'm fairly new to all of this so I am trying to understand my CM and I felt like I had some ewcm a couple days (and made sure to bd those days incase) but even on the days I had ewcm I didn't get positive opk. Has anyone had this happen? Do you think the ewcm means I still ovulated and the opk was just a fluke or is it possible I didn't ovulate this month?

Mg positive opk isn't until cd 17-19. It's later if you have longer cycles. The app may be predicting your fertile window wrong (it will correct if you get a positive test). I would be patient and keep testing.

Mine is 28-34 days. But I know when I see a consistent drop in my bbt after my period to start doing the opk tests and then you will see it shoot right up and that will just confirm it.  You can also get pregnant after you ovulate up to 36 hours. There is a book on amazon called taking control of your fertility that is pretty great for teaching you how to read your body :)

Bbt tells you once ovulation is over, right? So you'd track it so you had an idea for the next month? Since each month is different for me still, I'm worried about just using bbt. Still learning here :-)

You might do it early or don't always drop an egg. I was the same but I started tracking my bbt and can really tell when I ovulate. I found out I don't even ovulate until cd 16-18! I was always missing it. I always have cramping so I could never pin point which ones were ovulation cramps.
