Missed period by 4 weeks and spotting off and on! Help!

Ive been ttc for 8 months now and my cycle has become out of whack. My LMP was December 5th and it was terrible! The one before that was September 5th. My AF was due to come January 4th and it's the 27th and it's nothing... But for the past 3 days I have been spotting bright red blood mixed with EWCM. & yesterday I thought AF finally came because I started bleeding & within 2 hours the blood was completely gone. Has this ever happened to anyone? I don't have any medical problems that I know of and I am taking Vitex. I'm just tired of this and I'm ready for AF so I can start trying again because all my hpt's have been negative. Sorry for going on for this long !! Lol
