When do you test?

Hey ladies! My husband and I just started trying in January and hopefully this is our month!  I bought an OPK for the first time. It has 20 test strips which, I think, is making me more anxious to see that positive for the LGH surge!! Anywho, what day do you start testing for pregnancy? I know it takes quite a while for implantation, but waiting is so hard!!!

For OPKS you should start a few days before you think u should ovulate. I'm going to start using mine at cd12 (I have a 28d cycle). Then once you get positive results, u should ovulate within 24-36 hours. Then you start counting DPO (day post ovulation) and once you are DPO10 or 11 you could start testing but can certainly get false negatives, so if u can wait, best to wait til u miss AF!!

It is safest to test at 14dpo, which also usually works out to be the first day of your period. A lot of people start testing at 9dpo, because they can't wait- however you have a much higher chance of getting false negatives that way.
