Won't make it fb official?

Question

So my bf and I have been together for 6 months, he calls me
​His girlfriend, but won't make it fb official and never post pictures of us together... I've talked to him about it several times and he always says he doesn't want people knowing his business, am I over reacting? I know this isn't some highschool relationship but I still would like for all of his flirty friends that are girls to know he is taken.

I had this happen too me. He wouldn't let me tag him in anything, wouldn't let me put him in a relationship, told me his ex was evil, that he loved me blah blah blah. Until I messaged his ex, turned out he was still sleeping with her and me! I had to go for sti tests. I think if a guy really loves you he would shout it from the roof tops. Be careful. I hope it all works out for you xx

I know facebook shouldn't be nearly as important as we see it as. But it is what it is and if he won't make it fb official then there's something keeping him from seeing it as official. I get not wanting people to know his business but men should want to show their women off to the world and if he doesn't want to you need to find someone who does. We all deserve that

Maybe it's cause I'm in my 30s... But my husband and I don't put anything about our relationship in our profiles. We never have and don't plan to. Facebook is great for keeping in touch with friends scattered about the world, but I see, talk, touch my husband everyday... I don't see any need to interact with him via Facebook. The relationship is between he and I. Just my opinion!

It's disappointing how important people think Facebook is. My SO and I have been together for over a year, and on my Facebook and his as well we are both labeled as single. One reason we keep it this way is because what happens if we do break up in the future? Once we go back and change that, all of our friends and family will know and we don't want that. People start to gossip and ask questions. We do however post pictures of each other but not excessively. Everyone who knows us personally knows we are together and that's what matters, and that we are happy. It may not be anything, but if you aren't happy, speak up. Communication is key.

Definitely something awry! I get not wanting to blast personal business but if he doesn't want people to know you are together, that is a problem. Especially since you have voiced it bothers you and he doesn't do anything.

That's shady to me. Me and my fiancé had the same problem and he finally got sick of it and deleted the profile altogether. He had us on there as together but wouldn't post pics of us or me. Maybe he's just jelly and doesn't want other guys seeing you lol

I use to be like that myself don't want people knowing my business meet the guy I'm with now and I want the world to know but that's also coz I know it's long term etc none of the other guys wanted to do the fb thing either tho so I don't know

I don't see why you he can't at least put you as his profile picture;

​Maybe you should tell the girls he's taken and see what he says, cause if he wants the relationship he won't care you told them

​Also maybe he doesn't want anyone criticising your relationship that's why he hasn't uploaded pictures cause a lot of people would get jealous if he was flirting with them before

I'll be straight up honest with you.  I dont know your boyfriend but.... Heres my story.   I was dating this guy, he straight up asked me to be his girlfriend and we'd go out together, take walks through town holding hands.   Praticaly almost lived together on the weekends.  Intoduced me as his girlfriend to his friends.  Met my parents even.  He seemed like he was real genuine about us being together.  But.... He wouldnt post about us on facebook.  His relationship status just didnt show.  It didnt say if he was single or if he wasnt.  Never posted anything about us.  Never wanted to be tagged.   His reasoning was because "he didnt want anyone knowing his business, facebook causes drama" and when he slept with both of my best friends I found out its not facebook that causes the drama.  His other girlfriends do.   It could be a completely different senerio though.  Again idk your bf well enough to say.
