I didn't wait 6 weeks...either time! It sounds bad, but once the bleeding stopped and I actually felt like I wanted to have sex I did so very carefully and gently.

With my first baby we waited 2 weeks. That might have been a LITTLE to soon. But second baby we waited 3 or 4 weeks. Just use lube. Astroglide works really well. And take it slow!!

The six weeks is just a safety precaution but after birth your body is still trying to get itself back to normal and having sex before its safe can hurt you. It just depends on your body. Best bet is listen to the doctor.

I had sex 3 weeks after having a baby and no problems at all. They only day the 6 weeks as a rough estimate  my dr told me as soon as I felt ready go for it and I did. It hurt allot at first but it's just like losing your virginitt again
