Any army wives out there?!

Whats the best advice to give to someone moving to another post?! It is my husband and mines first time moving to another post.. ANY ADVICE at all to give?! The first post we went to is in New York, and being from New York it wasn't a big transition. Now, we are moving to Hawaii.. ANY ADVICE will help!

I moved from Texas to Ga and this was my first time PCSing. The first yr being away from my family was really hard but I've made a few close friends and have adjusted. Most places will have a FB page for military spouses in your area if you're looking to make friends and meet new pple.

My husband and I will be pcsing in February for the 4th time. The moving part doesn't get any eaiser but I would say living in on post housing helps out a lot when it comes to meeting other spouses. I haven't been stationed in Hawaii but I do have quite a few friends stationed there. Its beautiful from what they say. Good luck ?

Pcsing can be stressful depending on if you're having the military move you or if you're doing a "diddy" move which you move yourself and the military pays you back. Just be careful with your delicates and things you don't want stolen or broken! The first move my husband and I did, they came in and packed all of our stuff and if we didn't record it and it went missing we'll tough shit. Record what you're moving and take pictures. :) good luck!

Take pictures of everything important and valuable you own. If anything you own is even slightly damaged before the move, take a picture of it. If something gets damaged in the move (it usually does), it's easier to prove it and you'll probably end up getting a better deal from the insurance.
