Nub theory to guess baby gender

Anybody know if the popular nub theory to detect baby gender works? I am having my 12 week scan tomorrow and the theory explains you can try to guess at that point based on the angle of your baby's "nub" around the genital area. Basically if it is more than 30 degrees pointing upwards it is likely a boy and if it is less than 30 degrees it is likely a girl
