Can a negative test be wrong?

​I'm 3 days late and don't feel normal like I usually would when I get my period. Did a test and it's negative. Could the test be wrong??

It might be that you don't have enough hcg in your system yet. Wait until you are a week late then test again.

​I hear of people testing 4 days before their period and getting a positive result but knows!
