Cervical position...

So I know every women's cervix behaves differently throughout her cycle and might not be a good indication of fertility (at the very least a confusing one). Well like most TTC I've been checking and in the last two months mine always seems high and soft, even during my short period 2 weeks ago... What gives?!? Any help or advice??? Please comment!
