How soon after miscarriage can we try again ?

I have had an early miscarriage and was quite poorly from it. In short the doctors thought possible ectopic but it is currently going away by itself. How will I know when my cycle is back to normal? The doctor said I didn't have to wait but I wondered what everyone else did?

I'm sorry.  I'm going through the same right now so I don't really know.  Maybe do the Otc fertility tests?

Hi. Thanks so much for your replies. I think I want to get straight back to it because I'm 32 and it will be my first. I'm just wondering if it's worth waiting so I can't work out when I'm ovulating. I just bought one of those basal body temperature thermometers online but not sure if I should try the hormone testing kit too?

When I had my mc, my doctor recommended waiting after two normal cycles. Not sure why. But we waited anyway.

We started as soon as the bleeding stopped although Dr recommended waiting 1 full cycle but she said she recommends that more for dating purposes should you fall pregnant I right away.

I had an early mc on the 10th September.  I had blood tests to confirm hcg levels had gone back down to zero and I have been trying again this month. It really depends if you are emotionally ready, but there is usually no medical reason to wait if it was early. The sometimes ask you to wait a cycle for the purpose of dating the pregnancy, but you can also have a dating scan if it does happen.

I'm trying right away again too.  I am not so emotionally busted up over it because this would be my 3rd child.  I have 2 healthy, happy boys already so I don't see a point to waiting for emotional reasons either.
