Cycle start day confusion

Because of my PCOS, I'm never sure when to expect AF. This past week (since Wednesday) I've been lightly spotting brown every day. Last night/this morning, I got my "real" (red) period, and now it's back to brown again. What day should I put for the start of this cycle?
