My husband and I went to the urgent care last night. I was lightly bleeding, but it was bright red so we went. When we got there, they told me that since the bleeding has stopped, it was probably just spotting and to come back the next day for an ultrasound to be sure. So we went today. During the ultrasound, I knew something was wrong. The technician kept the screen away from me and said nothing during the exam.
She brought me into another room to wait for the doctor, who then told us that they could not find a heartbeat.
We had an scheduled ultrasound a week earlier, and saw a heartbeat. So sometime in the last week, the baby has died.
I have no pain, and no bleeding yet. But the doctor said If the baby passes naturally I should have what seems like a very heavy period soon.
This devastated me and my husband. We had been trying for 7 months before I got pregnant. I know some couples try for years, and we were lucky, but it hurts.
