Breakthrough bleeding on pill?

I'm on a birth control pill that I've been on for a few months now and have been taking at the exact same time every day. I last had my period about a week and a half ago, yet I'm having breakthrough bleeding. I occasionally get breakthrough bleeding closer to the month mark after my last period, but never this early on. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
