Worried that I might be infertile....or that I'm doing something wrong!!! Help!

So my boyfriend and I have been TTC since May of this year. Now I'm 26 years old and I literally thought this was going to be a piece of cake but apparently not as easy as they make it seem on the TV shows huh... Anyway I've actually started taking prenatal pills and I bought ovulation tests the whole nine because I thought man it's September and still no baby! Finally my period comes and goes and I start taking the ovulation test and I first get the "O" then a two days later I get the "blinking smily face" and I get all excited but then I took another test the next day and still the blinking smiley and then the next day still the blinking face...for 4 days straight!! I never got the "steady smiley face" when I took the test and so I guess that means I never had my peak ovulating days and well idk that really worried me. What if something's wrong? What if I never ovulate and I didn't know until I started taking the ovulation tests last week! I need some advice! Maybe I'm doing something wrong ?
