Love at first sight

So many people I consider my family disrespect my relationship by setting me up on dates with other men because they do not want me to settle for the man I'm with now. Every other word is :you can do better than him. Or you can go to law school & find somebody . Why am I not allowed to be happy with the one I'm with? They judge him because he doesn't have a " degree" & he is "older than me" . I'm tired of the negativity from me loving someone that loves me back. Anyone has similar conflict with their family? Does your family influence break ups ? Does your family view your  relationship negatively ?
