I swear... I was once engaged to my most recent ex. I broke off the engagement 7 months ago and 4 months later we got back together without the engagement. I recently ended the relationship two weeks ago. I was drunk one night and shouldn't have been driving. Crashed at the apartment him and I had together because it was down the street from the bar. He wasn't there until his lunch break at work from 2-3am.

Now I find out he raped me while I was in my sleep... He would be the third man now who has raped me and I feel like its my fault I keep getting raped at this point... What am I doing wrong?!?  :(

I swear. The ignorance of some people. It is ABSOLUTELY NEVER your fault. NEVER. I don't care how drunk you are or if you're running around naked. IT IS NEVER YOUR FAULT. That lady is idiotic. I doesn't matter if you were too drunk, even if you said yes while plastered, ITS STILL NO. I've been molested once and raped once. I feel the exact same way most days. I was 8 & 16. I felt I was old enough to know better and it was all my fault, but honestly. There's no turning a rapidt away. If you think 'I should have said no and been more clear' or 'maybe he didn't know I didn't want it' then that's non sense. You're not at fault no matter what. I'm terrified of being violated again, but you just have to remember that it's not your fault. You're too trusting for your own good. Just maybe try to limit your drinking so you don't black out. So you'll know what you're doing and you'll know to walk away if things get too far. Sadly, rape is something's way out of our control. All we can do is try our best to stay away from the 'bad boys' and protect ourselves the best we can. I'm praying for you. I hope that never happens to you again.

I think it was probably very unwise of you to crash at his apartment. You should have been with a friend so you could look after each other if you planned to get wasted. It not your fault that you were raped but you're also putting yourself in a position where you're extremely volunerable and aren't looking out for yourself.

Did he rape you though or did you just get so drunk ou can't remember the act itself? It's not exactly the best way to go to have sex with a totally wasted girl but if yoh cant remember it you may have consented.
