Is it safe to dye my hair at the salon?

Hey Ladies, 
 I am 17 weeks 4 days, have a hair appt booked for tomorrow to do an all over colour and get rid of my highlights (going low maintenance). Is it safe to get this done?? I'm nervous and don't want to do anything to harm my unborn babe.

I just asked my MFD yesterday . He said as long as you're out of your first trimester that there is nothing out there that shows that it causes harm to your unborn baby. He said many women do it and you need to feel good about yourself throughout your pregnancy, so if that means dying your hair you can and should do it ?

I've heard it's totally safe as long as you're in a well ventilated place so I think you're fine :)

I've been thinking the same thing  & have now decided to see an organic hairdresser who apparently is pregnancy safe.  Its tough one because pregnant woman have been dying their hair for years.
