This will be the first grandchild on my side of the family. Everyone is gonna flip out (in a good way). We are planning to wait to tell in person over thankgiving. We are not sentimental people ourselves, so any non-silly and creative way to tell my immediate family? Nothing with an ultrasound pick, lol. Initially was thinking fake scratch off to tickets...

My in laws love to order chineese food, so we are going to replace the fortune cookies with ones that we going to make. They will read you are going to be a granparent in June. We are doing it next weekend after our first doctors appointment, can't wait to see their faces, I know his mom is going to cry.

We were thinking about getting bottles of wine and attaching gift tags that say To: Grandma and Grandpa (or Aunt and Uncle)

Also, is it ok to feel strongly that we tell my immediate family before my husband's? We will see both families the same day but I think my mom will be hurt if she finds out second.

I got a big box filled it with pink and blue ballons and tied a little stuffed animal monkey that had a note saying another little monkey will be jumping Around sometime June 2015! When they opened the box all the bollons came out! It was really fun!! With my I laws I got a wine bottle sticker that says drink this for me I'll join you next year baby #3 due June! I'm gonna put it in a box and wrap if and have them open it!! good luck!! :)
