What's going on with these temps?? Please help!

Question

Same time everyday with an ear thermometer (doctor grade equipment). As soon as I get out of bed I take my temp and go pee. Is this normal? This is my first month temping. Period is due 10/23.

You need to use a proper BBT thermometer, orally or vaginally. It does NOT need to read to the second decimal place. But it does help to. I've pinpointed my ovulation with pcos and whacky cycles using a 1 decimal place thermometer. Use whichever you like, but it has to be oral or vaginal.

First your suppose to use a basal body thermometer in your mouth or vagina and take it before you get out of bed and it's suppose to read to the second degree. For instance my sons ear thermometer reads 97.8, a BBT will read 97.83 the extra number is far more accurate when tracking ovulation and such.

Your temps don't show ovulation btw. Probably because the thermometer is pretty much useless when it comes to basal temp. Sorry to say that hun.

Either way second degree or not befor ovulation my temp was fairly normal and didn't spike till the 7th. After opk positives it's been going up and down. I can't buy a different thermometer so an ear one will have to do.
