Bf is virging

Hi so my bf whom I've been dating for a few months now is quite shy and he's a virgin. I've had sex multiple times before him and I want to kind of officialize things but he isn't doing anything. He does seem to want it but he just isn't pulling a move. How do I get him to get the confidence and instigate it? (I know I should but then I know I'm gonna end up doing everting and I'd like him to partake in it too youknow...)
