Boyfriend Advice

So I love my boyfriend but he has this insistent urge to buy me everything. He won't let me split dinner with him, and he won't even let me buy my own movie ticket! So we were planning on going to the state fair together so I told him I would purchase the tickets online with a credit card. The next day he gave me money on cash to cover for both of the tickets. I told him he should at least let me buy my own, but he wouldn't take it! Before he left my house I literally taped cash to his back when I hugged him and he didn't find it until he got home :) The next day I found the money in my locker with a little note that said "Nice try ;)". I guess he's being cute about it but its kind of making me mad. We're both in highschool and have minimum wage jobs. Its nice that he wants to be chivalrous but why won't he at least let me pay half??? I tried talking to him about it and he said "I'm supposed to buy you things".......like I guess that's kinda good but its making feel really guilty I feel like I owe him a lot and I would rather he dependant on myself.
