My boyfriend tells me he wants a baby but not this year next year??

My point: but if you want a baby then you should just go with the flow ??

His point: I'm not ready this year?

My point: but why say you want a baby now but not till next year?, if you tell me you want a baby then surely your ready ??

Am I just over thinking things and just wait or is there more to it ???

Lots of people know they want kids but aren't ready quite yet. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me, I would just wait a little longer.

Of he's not ready, try not to push it. It may cause undue stress on your relationship. That being said, it could take a year to even get pregnant, so...

Tell him it won't be this year it'll be next year cuz you carry it for 10 months (40 weeks). So you might as well start trying cuz it may take more than one try to get pregnant.

I think he's just wanting you to discuss it so y'all can start planning and making sure you're both ready. I know my husband and I aren't trying until next year (I have medical issues right now), but we still talk about it and we have looked into what we want and need for the baby and all that so when the time comes, we are 100% prepared

Your not over thinking it. Me and boyfriend talked about having our first baby. I'm ready now but he wants to wait 2 years so he can finish school and have a great job to support is. I understood where he was coming from and agreed it was the best plan.

​Maybe your boyfriend just has other plans before you start planning for a baby, only because it's such a big step. Keep your head up and in 6 months ask if you guys can start trying? Because sometimes it doesn't just happen the first try. Best of luck!
