Odd period before conception

My partner and I have been trying to concieve for over a year now with absolutely no luck. I have been off birth control for 3 years now and my periods have just now regulated themselves on their own. The period I had before finding out I was pregnant was a week long and heavy! (They usually only last 3-5 days) it was very unusual. A month later I missed my period and got my positive. Which we are ecstatic about!!! It may sound silly but I wonder if this peculiar period had anything to do with it?
