Quitting school???

Question

Okay I know everyone is going to tell me not to but I have my reasons. I was trying to figure out when I could I'll be 15 in a month. Is there anyway I could quit now and get my GED in place as an alternative? I live in PA more likely I would have parents consent.

I had a friend who went through a similar situation as yours. 15, sophomore in high school, plans on getting a GED. When life hit and she NEVER got it.... This day and age EVERYONE needs an education if you want to make something of yourself. I've never had many friends, finding a subject you enjoy helps. Even art. But getting out in the real world so young without a high school diploma can do more harm than good

Honestly you'd be better off either sticking it out or do homeschooling. I've a few very bright friends who went the GED route but it hurt them more than it helped. If you can get the diploma it's much better for you in the long run.

I don't know about your school district, but mine has an alternative school. I don't exactly know how it works, but it allows you to be in a different, safer environment, and the curriculum is a little different. If I were you I would explore that option, or see if a nearby school has that option. Or you could just switch schools, depending on your situation. 
Also, there's online/home school. With online you are enrolled in a public school (ex: Oklahoma Virtual School) and has the same type of classes and assignments as an irl school, but you are in your home and on the computer.

Honey, I left school and honestly its not worth it. I got so depressed. I know its hard. I wanted to die because of the stress but seeing my friends go to prom and watching them graduate and walk the stage made me feel like a failure. It is up to your parents and if its best fro you, know that you have full support in your decision. Just know some days you are gunna regret it.

From personal experience don't quit... I was in the same boat last year and didn't go at all my last semester and boy was I wrong. I switched to a charter school I only go half a day and I'm making straight A's there is nothing more inmportant than an education. It's what your whole life is based upon. And getting your ged isn't as easy as it used to be
