Has anyone taken Provera?

I'm thinking Provera is what my doc meant when he said he would 'jump start' my cycle. Has anyone taken it and if so how quickly did AF start again?

I took it for a week. I took my last pill on a Thursday and my period came 3 days later on sunday!

I've taken it twice now. The first time I didn't get AF until 21 days after my last provera tablet. I was on 10mg for 5 days. The second time with the same dose AF came 3 days after my last tablet. So I guess it can vary.
Plus what Jessica said, if you haven't had AF for a while expect it to be heavy. I couldn't leave the bathroom for the first morning but it's still worth it. What's the plan after AF has been jump started?

I'm on my forth day of Provera today and I'm getting hard core cramps and it sucks. I normally never get cramps when I have my period so it's just strange.
