Midwife or Doctor?

I'm trying to decide which way to go this time around. With my daughter 6 years ago I went with a doctor. I was only 20 and my parent said doctor so that's the way I went. This time around I'm thinking maybe a midwife. I suffered from depression after my daughter and some breast feeding issues as well and I'm hoping that a midwife might help me with those issues if they come up again. has anyone decided what they are going with?

I chose midwife. I knew before I even got pregnant that I would want to have a midwife. I don't need someone over complicating something nature intended to happen.

I had a midwife with my first, I will be having a midwife with my second as well. I loved my midwife and I love that she didn't over complicate things. Do whatever you are truly comfortable with... No matter what any one else says. After all, you are the one carrying the baby and birthing.

I have chosen a midwife at a hospital. I would love a birth center but hubby is not comfortable with one so we have comprimed with a hospital birth with a midwife. I will be looking into a dula this time around though.

I'm going with a midwife! I'm moving and trying to find a new doctor is going to be crazy. The ladies that I spoke to were so sweet and said that they would hold a place for me until I move and advised me to go to my family doctor until then. I'm super excited!!!

You will LOVE a midwife! Look into it, meet with one or two or all of them! You'll feel the difference :)
