Getting him in the mood

It's extremely hard to get my husband in the mood... Normally I'm the one who has to initiate sex, but I'd like to be as to do something special that really gets him going. Sometimes I will randomly kiss him or playfully grab him or touch him or something, but he always just says he's not in the mood. I don't know what to do!
